Going the Distance All photos courtesy Doug Meyer FINAL CUT By Blair Adams W hen he’s not working on the golf course he has meticulously maintained for over a decade, superintendent Doug Meyer can be found playing hockey or a round of golf with friends who happen to drop by for a visit. But when you have been involved in sport and the local community as much as Meyer, those friends include some of the biggest names in professional hockey—Patrick Roy, Guy Carbonneau, and Yvan Cournoyer, to name a few.
