Well, that is what Design Turf provided these first-time homeowners in Toronto by installing artificial grass and a synthetic putting green in their backyard. Before moving to the city, the couple were lifetime condominium owners. When they purchased the property two years ago, they did not give the idea of outside maintenance much thought. Maintaining the lawn’s appearance meant routine mowing, trimming, fertilization, irrigation and thatch control, on top of regular seeding, weeding and insect and disease management. In short, maintenance became overwhelming and the backyard soon became a tatty overgrown space. At this point, the homeowners started searching for alternatives to their dilemma. Rather than hiring a lawn care company, they were looking for an alternative, something that would offer zero maintenance and make their backyard usable and fun.
